Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Trafford
Flexible working: two days a week working from home available
We are recruiting for a Tier 1 Blue Chip Main Contractor who are looking to recruit a proven Quantity Surveyor to deliver a portfolio of contracts based out of Trafford three days of the week.
About the Role:
Responsible for a c.£30m portfolio of contracts for local authority clients.
The work is a mixture of Highways maintenance and improvements, street lighting, waste and asset/facilities management.
A Prerequisite:
In order to be considered, you must have demonstrable experience of 'Earned Value Reporting'. You would have been responsible for CVRs and month end reporting.
What You'll Do:
* Robust commercial management of subcontractors and supply chain partners including the preparation, review and evaluation of subcontract enquiries, quotations and payments, final accounts and input to dispute resolution.
* Ensure Applications for Payment are submitted on time and ensure the Company recovers full entitlement for all works and variations.
* Ensuring timely issuing of all notices required under the Contract(s)
* Support the CVR reporting process.
* Ensuring compliance with the systems, processes and procedures to deliver post contract management.
* Early warnings.

What You'll Bring:
* In order to be considered, you must have demonstrable experience of 'Earned Value Reporting'. You would have been responsible for CVRs and month end reporting.
* 5 years' experience at QS level is highly desirable.
* NEC experience.
* Recent, relevant experience working on similar contracts for a Main Contractor in the UK.
* A strong understanding of commercial reporting and implementation, supported by your excellent stakeholder management skills.
* A proven track record in a similar role will give you the confidence to be self-sufficient and work on your own initiative.
* It is desirable you will have previous experience in the civil engineering industry to be considered for this role.
