Job Purpose: We are seeking a Facilities Management Operative to ensure the smooth daily operations of a large, occupied site. This role requires excellent customer service skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to liaise effectively with employees, contractors, and the wider facilities team.
Key Responsibilities:
Post and Contractor Management Manage all aspects of internal and external post on site Conduct and record inductions for contractors and visitors
Facilities and Maintenance Support Liaise with the CBRE team and contractors to ensure reactive jobs are completed Conduct site inspections and escalate issues to the Regional Manager Represent the Facilities Management function, ensuring a high level of customer service Address staff concerns about building or service issues and escalate to the UKPN team
General Site Maintenance and Cleaning Basic cleaning of kitchen and toilet areas including wiping surfaces, topping up consumables, and emptying bins Carry out minor fabric repairs such as tightening door handles, fixing furniture, and adjusting monitor arms
Electrical and Plumbing Support Replace desktop fuses, check power supplies, and replace lamps Isolate water supplies, unblock sinks and toilets, and descale drinks boilers
Additional Duties Assist with HVAC adjustments and fire alarm tests Complete any reasonable tasks logged on the CAFM system during working hours
Person Specification Professional, well presented, and customer focused Proactive and dynamic in problem-solving within safety guidelines Able to work independently while liaising effectively with teams
