We are recruiting for a Social Housing Maintenance Contractor who have an opportunity for you to join them as their Commercial Director.
About the role:
This vacancy is part of a succession plan, the position has become available as the current Commercial Director has been promoted.
Commercially leading an established and successful Housing Maintenance Contractor, you will be responsible for all commercial activities and a team of 30 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30 direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
* Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute commercial strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
* High Volume, Low Value Transactions: Demonstrate commercial acumen in handling high volume, low value transactions within the social housing maintenance sector.
* Client Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
* Cultural Fit: Embody the company's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day commercial operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
* Communication: Communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
* Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex commercial challenges with a hands-on and proactive approach.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Proven background in social housing maintenance, with a deep understanding of the industry and its unique challenges. Recent, relevant experience as a Head of Commercial or Commercial Director working for a Social Housing Maintenance Contractor.
* Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with experience in high volume, low value transactions.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel to offices throughout the South West as needed.
