About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager for a Housing Maintenance Main Contractor to deliver their Kitchens and Bathrooms Planned Maintenance Contract in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of maintenance works, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the delivery of planned maintenance works for kitchens and bathrooms within housing properties.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, budgets, and other required documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is carried out to specification.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the housing maintenance industry is a prerequisite.
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance works, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, project management, or a related field are desirable.
