About the Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our team. As part of a range of projects, you'll be working with a variety of clients to deliver a multi-skilled maintenance service. This will involve working across electrical and mechanical disciplines, providing both reactive and proactive maintenance as per project requirements, ensuring all operational equipment is functioning to its optimum.
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plants to maximize reliability and maintainability. In addition to this, you will carry out modifications and installations when required and ensure that all necessary reports and paperwork are completed accurately and promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
- Carry out modifications and installations as needed, ensuring optimal system functionality.
- Monitor and ensure the reliability and maintainability of all operational equipment.
- Liaise with contractors and external suppliers when necessary.
- Complete accurate and timely reports and paperwork as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain high work standards.
- Report any potential risks or deficiencies that could impact service delivery, health and safety, or environmental standards.
- Ensure that both your own work and the work of others under your supervision is carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and have the following:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the electrical and mechanical maintenance field.
- Strong understanding of building statutory compliance.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety practices, specifically the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
- A proactive approach to ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
