Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Engineer

About the Company:

We are recruiting for a leading facilities management leader known for outstanding service delivery. They seek an experienced Mobile Maintenance Engineer for sites covering Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire.

Role Overview:

The Mobile Maintenance Engineer will ensure all facility maintenance tasks are completed on schedule and urgent work requests are handled promptly, meeting SLAs. The role requires strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols, using permit to work systems, and implementing improvements from inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and handle reactive maintenance requests on time, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures, using the permit to work system, and address improvements from inspections.
  • Apply a risk-focused maintenance strategy for plant and systems in critical environments.
  • Provide emergency response, standby, and call-out services, escalating urgent issues and managing outages per SLAs.
  • Support technical audits as directed by the line manager.
  • Maintain records to demonstrate compliance with maintenance requirements.
  • Supervise contractors as needed and suggest improvements through the line manager.
  • Communicate high-priority tasks and issues to end-users, clients, and the management team.
  • Enhance service delivery using best practices and site systems.
  • Pursue ongoing technical training and development, including competency assessments.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in preventative and reactive M&E maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of emergency response and call-out protocols.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong Health and Safety focus with relevant training.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations and 2391 / Testing and Inspection.
  • Experience with HVAC systems.
  • F-Gas knowledge beneficial (handling not required).
