M&E Operative

What will you deliver?
- Apply principles of industrial and commercial systems, implementing protection measures for effective resource utilisation.
- Understand and adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and codes of safe working practices.
- Engage in personal training and development, staying updated with work programs to ensure efficient service operations.
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Preventative Maintenance (RPM) tasks as assigned through Maximo or other systems, based on required skill levels.
- Sign off on completed tasks and promptly report issues to the M&E Lead for rectification, ensuring proper closure of tasks in Maximo.
- Exercise initiative and judgement to resolve non-routine problems independently, providing solutions to immediate work issues.
- Plan, organise, and prioritise allocated work effectively, taking ownership and delivering tasks to the best of your ability.
- Seek clarity on objectives, openly report progress, and act on feedback to ensure high-quality standards and timely task completion.
- Support personal development and the learning of others, responding positively to empowerment and giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Adapt to changing circumstances, work priorities, and deadlines, maintaining personal well-being and remaining calm under pressure.

Who are we looking for?
- Level 2 qualification in a relevant mechanical/electrical trade is desirable.
- Significant demonstrable experience in a building services environment.
- Training or willingness to undertake training for CP roles in high-risk disciplines.
- Thorough understanding of relevant policies and procedures and adherence to RAMS and codes of safe working.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) requirements and duties.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and prioritise tasks.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and work priorities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The role requires the successful post holder to obtain a PVG Disclosure prior to starting
