Your Role:
- Supporting the Senior Management Team in delivering a portfolio of works, between a value of £10K to £0.5m.
- Providing estimates and comprehensive pricing of rectification works and projects.
- Identifying, monitoring and reporting risks to recovery of costs.
- Providing justifications in support of cost claims against building contractor or client.
- Reviewing and assessing subcontractor costs claimed by suppliers and supporting Defect Team or Projects Team in the reviewing of payment applications.
- Leading Tender reviews, comparison of offers, and producing tender reports.
- Assisting in the search for efficiencies, cost savings and performance optimisation.
- Supporting management of budgets for project work and defect rectification and tracking costs.
- Provide monthly reporting summaries of defect rectification or project works and defect cost recovery.
- Provide day-to-day QS support to the management team and, where required, the projects team.
- Attend monthly Meetings and build strong relationships with senior client and building contractor representatives.
About You:
- Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly in Hard FM Maintenance contracts.
- A comprehensive understanding of the market and industry dynamics.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Experience in managing profit and loss accounts and meeting budgetary targets.
- A proven track record in project management.
- Proficiency in initiating, drafting, and reviewing documents.
- Excellent negotiation skills to drive successful outcomes.
- Proficiency in IT applications, especially MS Word and Excel.
- A full UK driving license for travel requirements.
