Resourcing group have an exciting opportunity to join the world's leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. Our client are recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join the team located in Swansea.

Please note this role is a permanent opportunity, but the contract does come to an end of 31st March 2025. This does not mean the chosen candidate will be out of work, as there will be an opportunity to TUPE to the other incumbent, or take on another opportunity within the company

Role Summary

Respond to reactive works within the team

Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales

Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks

Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works

Repairs floor and wall coverings

Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements

Responsible for other building and installation works as required

Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's and Basic Plumbing requirements

Utilise CAFM system to complete works, key communications & updates

Complete reactive, PPM jobs in a timely manner

Undertake minor projects works, including office & desk moves

Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations

In addition to the above duties, you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by the Contract Management team

Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments

Completion of records and logs required to demonstrate delivery of maintenance requirements.

Control and supervise contractors when required.

Continually communicate high priority tasks issues to end users, client and company Management team

Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems and equipment.

Required experience

Previous Fabric, Facilities Management experience

Experience of working in high profile work environment

City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in related trades

Current UKL driver's license

PC literate

Excellent Customer relationship skills

Ability to deal with conflicting priorities.

Understand and interpret technical drawings / instructions / processes

Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements

Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc

Health & Safety Qualified i.e. IOSH and/or NEBOSH
