Job Title: HSE Advisor
Location: Astral House, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts, WD24 4WW
Contract Duration: 2 months
Start Date: 24th March 2025
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: £200.00 per day (PAYE) or £250.31 per day (Umbrella)
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to support the effective management of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices across our region. This role will involve liaising with site teams, ensuring compliance with HS&E legislation, and promoting a culture of safety across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with HS&E legislation and VINCI Facilities health, safety, and environmental standards
- Communicate effectively with site teams, maintaining strong relationships and offering support
- Produce reports for the HSE Manager, monitor remedial actions, and ensure effective implementation
- Undertake investigations into incidents, identify root causes, and report findings
- Monitor HSE standards, implement improvement activities, and review risk assessments
- Deliver training on health, safety, and environmental matters as directed by the HSE Manager
- Conduct regular site visits/inspections based on risk and manage work allocation
- Perform subcontractor/supply chain audits as required
- Provide a reactive response to incidents and coordinate incident response from an HSE perspective
- Lead by example to promote visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental matters
Key Skills Required:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in health, safety, and environmental management
