About Resourcing Group:
Resourcing Group are currently seeking multiple Traffic Management Operatives to join our team across Cornwall, North Devon, Plymouth, and Exeter. This is a great opportunity to work on various traffic management schemes, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of projects while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Your Role:
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing traffic management methods to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic across project sites. You will be expected to work across a variety of shifts, including both day and night shifts, and some weekends as required. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement traffic management methods such as:
    • Give and Take, Priority, Stop/Go Boards
    • Portable Traffic Signals, Convoy Working
    • Road Closures, Lane Closures, and Diversions
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, following best practice and company procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements for traffic management tasks.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and tidiness.
  • Maintain a positive company image through professional appearance and site cleanliness.
  • Demonstrate initiative and contribute to continuous improvement efforts on site.
  • Assist the public by directing them safely around work areas when required.
  • Recognise when to escalate issues to management for intervention.

Ideal Candidate:

  • TTMBC Lantra ticket (preferred, but training can be provided).
  • Own transport to access sites each day.
  • Flexible availability to workdays, nights, split shifts, and weekends.
  • A responsible and proactive attitude towards work.
  • Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol testing.
  • Potential for a van depending on the role.
